Jeannette Brown was born in the Blue Ridge Mountain town of Boone, North Carolina where she has a multitude of family and friends. She has worked for most of her life in the legal profession as a secretary, and spent the majority of that time working with Samaritan's Purse, in international charity and disaster relief. Jeannette retired and became a resident of Palmer, Alaska in early 2012. At present she lives with her son, and shares as much time as possible with her grandson and her daughter. The author enjoys attending weekly classes at the Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska, in Wasilla. Jeannette also loves to visit and spend time with her friends and family. Through her work, and in her daily life, she has helped to improve the lives of thousands, perhaps millions, around the globe. She would like others to know that it's never too late to make a difference, and that the smallest act of kindness can change a life, even the world.
