'Then and Now.'
Two ordinary men, one living now, one living then, are connected by an extraordinary event which affects the entire world. Read how climate change, toxic politics Ai et al might all be resolved.
'Scotsmen' A Love Hate Story.
'Scotsmen' is a story about a fractured family and one man's journey to start over. The bitter beginnings are mitigated by a romance which is threatened by history. Called by some my most 'poignant' book, it is informed by details from my own, early life.
'Friends in High Places' The Story and the Story Behind it.
This is a two part novel: It starts as a narrative about two women politicians breaking ceilings, then it breaks the fourth wall to extend and expand the story.
'Dogs Can't Commit Suicide & Other Stories'
Six longer stories and seven that just wanted to end earlier. My draft readers and editors consider this my 'best' book yet. I, too, am pleased with the collection, wishing only that there were some unifying theme. Perhaps you can find one?
'Some Other Time'
This novel began as a series of short stories. Halfway through, I realized that they should be parts of a whole, single narrative. The twist required appropriating events that governments are spending vast resources examining. Sometimes science fiction becomes fact. Reading this book will have you hoping so.
'Sit Down Stand Up'
It's the story of a young comedian getting her act together. I include several of her 'routines' which were both fun and incredibly difficult to create.
'More Short Stories (Very.)'
A collection about humanity of all kinds; some have quirky twists, others leave the reader to guess. Love, lust, greed and goodness are all featured.
'Looking for Answers (In All the Wrong Places)'
A story about an accidental advice columnist and an agnostic episcopal minister. Both are in the 'helping people' business, both lack something fundamental to their professions.
'Short Stories (Very.)'
This is my first collection of stories. They're about people, places and things, in the past, present and future. 31 bite-size stories to last a month of eternidays.
‘Announcer Voice Over’
Tells the story of voice artist Francis Ross who makes a living reading what others write. Francis is curious to see if he, too, can make a living writing.
‘Making It Up As I Go Along’
The memoir of Simon King, a British copywriter, creative director and inventor. The memoir frames many of Simon’s concepts, ideas and inventions, along with anecdotes and interactions with well-known celebrities and business entrepreneurs in England and America.
Background.
I have been writing fiction for a several years. The fiction I was writing before was as Creative Director/Copywriter for various ad agencies in London, New York and Boston.
Now a full-time author, I have published eleven books with more to come. Thanks to everyone who has read one, some or all of them. Your feedback is always welcome even -especially, in fact- when it's more critical than laudatory. All titles are available in paperback and E-book/Kindle formats from Amazon, from a few independent book shops and the local libraries in my locale.
