J.S. Matthews

A teacher, a writer, a tabletop role playing enthusiast, a father, and a video game fan, I wear many a different hat. I have a deep passion for history and good stories, both of which come out in my writing. I have lived most of my life in the state of Colorado along the mighty front range where I have developed a love for the beautiful landscapes. My stories are always full of life. loss, excitement, pain, joy, and wonderful characters, so if those sound like your cup of tea, then I cannot wait to share my books with you!

My writing revolves around the big questions in life:

What is the nature of Justice?

What is the telos (Purpose) of human existence?

What does it mean to live the "Good Life"?

My books explore these questions and more as I use my characters to argue and explore my ideas and different answers to these questions. I wish to inspire my readers to consider these answers and create their own. Do you agree with the decision a character makes? What different choice would you consider and why? There are so many different ways to explore these ideas and concepts, so I hope you will join my on my journey pursuing the truth of these questions!
