Angelo Cacciola Donati

Angelo Cacciola Donati, born in La Spezia, is an economist and writer with a PhD from the University of Fribourg (CH) in economic and social sciences. He began writing at a young age, publishing his poems in magazines such as Corriere TV and various newsletters. In 1977 in Parma, along with Beppe Sebaste, Andrea Cabassi, and others, he published the poetry collection 'P.Collage'.

He has explored numerous literary genres, showcasing extreme multidisciplinary versatility. In the socio-economic field, he published various research papers and essays in both Italy and Switzerland for their respective union study centers, focusing on professional training, business management, and technological innovation. In 1996, he printed his postdoctoral thesis on the role of culture in socio-economic reality, featuring extensive anthropological reflections.

From 1994, he resided in the Basque Country where, influenced by local culture and mythology, he published a dozen stories in Spanish and Basque, sponsored by hundreds of public establishments and businesses, achieving notable public success (www.fableset.com). Pursuing his penchant for fantasy, he conceptualized and directed the European educational project "Fabulando", creating dozens of web tales with children from three nations.

Between Italy, Switzerland, and Spain:

Upon returning to Italy at the turn of the century, he published four fantasy tales, a collection of ancient recipes, and the history of the old Hotel Europa in Rapallo. Gradually, his creativity pivoted towards video production and the creation of multimedia shows. He produced works like "Libera Libertà - Women in the 900s", a movie-show about the history of the feminist movement, and "Belle époque & Tigullio, a pretext for an economic history", awarded at the Andersen Festival in Sestri Levante (Genoa) in 2013. He also conducted numerous events and performances dedicated to Futurism in Liguria and Trentino.

Back in Spain, in Pamplona (Navarra), he was a finalist in the IX San Fermín International Micro-stories Contest of 2017 and later introduced "Culture, Business, and Local Identity" at the XVI SEI international congress of the University of the Basque Country. Between 2019 and 2020, he published "Sbigottiti: Poetry and Images", its Spanish version "Estupefactos", as well as the essay "Being Human and Economics" and "Guide to Tigullio in the 1700s and 1800s, foreign travelers narrate". Since 2022, he has been the president of Olatua, a non-profit cultural association.
