Emma Beswetherick

Emma Beswetherick is a children’s author whose new middle grade novel, A Voice Like Mine, is inspired by her own experience of growing up with a stammer. The story follows a girl with a stammer who, through navigating school and friendships, discovers that her voice deserves to be heard.

Emma is also the author of the Playdate Adventures series for 5-8-year-olds – eight imaginative stories that whisk children around the world, under the sea and into outer space, all with gentle environmental themes woven throughout.

Alongside writing, Emma has spent more than twenty years in the book industry, editing and publishing bestselling adult commercial fiction.

Emma lives in Twickenham with her husband, their two teenage children and a much-loved dog called Obi.
