Beverly Ramsay

Biography

Beverly Ramsay was born in Jamaica but has lived in London since she was eleven years old.

She arrived in England with a head full of stories about her early childhood and is now after her retirement from teaching, the author of two memoirs, ‘A Jamaica Childhood’ and ‘A Jamaican Dawn’.

Each of these wonderful books contains a selection of captivating stories which highlights for readers of all ages, the rich culture of the island and the child’s many escapades.

Beverly has also written a wide variety of workbooks for children which incorporates Black history and historical figures who have played a pivotal role in that history.

Beverly is currently writing her third book in the Jamaican series and intends to publish in December 2025. Following that she will be writing a series of books about her British Childhood adventures.
