Bonnie Merryfield

Bonnie Merryfield was married for forty-four years before being widowed in May 2018. Her first book, So Now You’re a Widow: Tips, Advice, and Stories from Widows to Widows, was published in 2019 and won a 2020 CIPA EVVY award in the Non-Fiction/Self-Help category. Her second book, The Ultimate Widower's Guide: Advice from Men, was published in November, 2022 and also won a second-place 2023 CIPA EVVY award in Non-Fiction/Self-Help. A retired high school English teacher, Bonnie is passionate about encouraging surviving spouses to lead rich and productive lives. She resides in Wisconsin with her two rescue cats Riley and Murphy and enjoys socializing, exercising, dancing, motivational speaking, and writing.
