Connie Kelleher

Connie Kelleher is an underwater archaeologist with research interests in maritime history and archaeology, and in particular that of the 16th & 17th centuries. Connie, who holds a doctorate in historical archaeology, has published many papers and articles on topics such as the maritime cultural landscape of the Atlantic, piracy, shipwrecks, colonial settlement and associated illicit trades like smuggling and prostitution. Connie has recently co-authored a book - the 'RMS Lusitania, the Story of a Wreck'. She is also visiting lecturer in underwater archaeology in University College Cork and as part of her work with the National Monuments Service in Ireland, has carried out several investigations on underwater shipwreck sites.
