Thomas S. Gunther

Thomas S. Gunther reads and writes fiction of all kinds, but is partial to horror and dark humor. Like the original American horror writer, Edgar Allan Poe, he favors the short story over longer works, though he is currently working on a novel and a novelette (or two). He is a writer, an occasional poet, editing specialist, and former featured columnist for Terror Tract (defunct). His work, which appears in numerous horror anthologies, could be described as Harlan Ellison and Jack London got drunk one day! He grew up watching horror movies, reading books of all genres, and has drawn inspiration from countless television programs, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Like many, he is a fan of King, and Barker (among others), though it is his fellow Indie horror writers he admires the most. Thomas spent a few years in college, and his essays and poems won several scholarships. A native of the Great Lake State, he loves nature and prefers to work outdoors. He currently lives in southwest Michigan with his beautiful wife, a four-legged shark that swims around the dinner table, and the ghosts of two cats.
