Kat Fury

Kat Fury was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and began telling stories as soon as she could speak. She has been a member of Toastmasters International for most of her adult life, as well as the Society for Creative Anachronism where she honed her storytelling skills both on the page and with an audience. She has also done advocacy work since her diagnosis with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome at the age of 17. This work includes mental health advocacy, rare disease advocacy and advocacy to raise awareness of the needs of disabled persons who experience domestic abuse. Her advocacy work was further shaped by her autism, spinal cord injury, multiple traumatic brain injuries, and visual impairment.
