Kathryn Reed

Kathryn Reed is an award-winning journalist who loves the outdoors. She has been a permanent resident of Northern California most of her life. Reed has been exploring the greater Lake Tahoe area for years, either by hiking, snowshoeing or cross country skiing, and lived there for nearly 20 years. She spent three winters living in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico. When she is not on the computer, she is playing tennis, hiking, biking or discovering new places. Travel and the outdoors feed her soul. Her previous work has included being an editor at the San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, Las Vegas Sun and Tahoe Daily Tribune. She has freelanced for the New York Times, Reuters, North Bay Business Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, Tahoe Mountain News and other publications. Her last full-time gig was as publisher of Lake Tahoe News.
