My Sewing Story: Born From Curiosity

My sewing journey began with curiosity, not a classroom. As a child, I watched my aunt alter clothing and became fascinated by her sewing machine. Helping thread needles and push the foot pedal sparked a lifelong passion for understanding how sewing worked. Over time, that curiosity grew into a career. I founded Trendi Fashions by CaSandra Lil Dollz and Gentz, later created Sew Whatcha Know to teach and inspire others, and expanded into CaSandra Collective Creations, where sewing became the foundation for books, digital products, fashion, and handmade crafts. Sewing has taught me patience, creativity, discipline, and entrepreneurship. More than making clothes, it has shaped my life, connected me with thousands of creators, and shown me that curiosity, one stitch at a time, can build a lasting legacy.
