Michael J. Alcorn

Michael J. Alcorn lives and works in Arvada, Colorado with his wife and three children. A retired music teacher and newspaper columnist, Michael spends his days dwelling on his nightmares and daydreams ... and then writing them down. His works include "Get It" with Jay R. Charness, and "The Accidental Christmas," "Enemies Unseen," "The First Cut," "Gameplan: Inside Hell, Inc.," "Charon's Blade," and "Valkyrie's Kiss."

I'd love to say that writing is all a matter of inspiration and dictation for me, but that's not quite right. My hobbies include making music, playing golf, and practicing martial arts, all of which require concentration. Writing is simply a means of curtailing the stray or persistent thoughts and getting them out of my brain and on to paper so I can focus. I don't think that's quite the same thing as inspiration--I'll let you decide.
