Carla Rodrigues

I'm a proud Portuguese-American, born and raised in Northern New Jersey. After I graduated from my alma mater, Montclair State University with a Biology degree, my wanderlust and passion to explore inspired me to move to the Caribbean, where I obtained my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Ross University in Saint Kitts. It wasn’t too long after that I found myself exploring the world of alternative medicine, completing certifications in Canine Rehabilitation and Veterinary Acupuncture.

I am a proud endometriosis survivor. There is so much more to these 6 simple words than is visible to the eye. Endometriosis has defined my life. Despite overcoming endometriosis and claiming the status of survivor, it has always been and will always be a part of my being. My experience with endo was challenging and testing, but there is no doubt it made me the person I am today.

There’s a peaceful reassurance that comes with knowing we’re not facing something alone. Sharing our stories and experiences can make a tremendous impact on others’ lives, not to mention give hope. Everyone has a story. Don’t be afraid to own yours and share it.
