Caliban Strange

Caliban Strange are MC Church and Roland Hofer aka the Doctor. They are the band Caliban Strange. Together, they have created this inspirational bible for indie musicians.

This is a creative and inspirational journey through many aspects of the creative process and further into the future of the industry. The book reads like poetry, and is an agile romp through the mind of the collaborative song writer.

Our journey to helping musicians with their process started with BandLaunch- a Canada Council award winning online course for musicians and bands. Their background is art and music. MC Church is a technical Oscar winner and technical Emmy winner for his work on the Engineering side of the film industry. Dr. Hofer is an Akademia song writing award winner for his work in pop music.

The ideas in this book have been the foundation for intensely creative long theme projects such as The Solar Powered Rock-a metaphor for the planet, and Water Rabbit Design with a digital radio station to launch music into the universe for the Aliens.
