George C Mains

George Mains grew up in western Pennsylvania. He was raised in a Christian home and has attended church much of his life. He has served as an elder, Bible teacher, and deacon for over thirty years. Many years ago he gained a passion for God’s word and concluded, if God wrote a book wouldn’t a person want to read it? Talking with many at church outreaches, he found that many believers lack assurance of heaven like he did. These experiences inspired him to write this book to help believers grow as a child of God, knowing they are secure forever in His hand when they trusted in Christ as Savior. He believes you will never have full assurance until you understand that in Christ, you have complete forgiveness. He also has written a number of Gospel tracts. At age 68, Assurance of Heaven is his first book. George and his wife, Carol, are the parents of two sons. They enjoy discipling younger believers and spending time with their seven grandchildren.
