Pratha Sharma

Pratha Sharma received formal education in Physics, Management, Finance and Odissi classical dance. She is based in India.

The books are aimed towards reviving and propagating India's ancient heritage and culture.

Her first book titled ' The Forgotten Shivlinga of the Sati Shaktipeeths' brings to light the lost and forgotten aspects of some ancient temples in the Indian subcontinent following a millennium of foreign rule and plunder.

The main objective of the author is to propagate the fast depleting heritage of Hindu temple culture; being centres of learning and the art forms. The book series on the ancient Odissi style classical dance practiced in the Jagannath Temple at Puri is particularly beneficial for students taking up the dance as a profession titled 'Oudhr Magadh Nritya Shaili'; as it was known in the ancient days.

The author also promotes the ancient culture of Bharatvarsha of treating all animals as family via a series of short stories for children titled 'Sonu Monu Ki Rochak Kahaniyan'.

The series title ' Sonu2 Monu2 Ki Rochak Kahaniyan' and ' Sonu3 Monu3 Ki Rochak Kahaniyan' present stories and episodes of the second and third generation of sonu monu series.

The series title ' Wonders of Mathematics' present an introduction of the basic concepts of Mathematics with emphasis on inclusion of cartoons and storytelling.

The series titled ' Geet Govindam in Oudhr Magadh Nritya Shaili' present the Ashtapadi of the ancient treatise by Sri Jayadev emphasising on the Oudhr Magadh style of classical dance and music.
