by Val Black

Val Black is the founder of Covenant Roots, a ministry dedicated to helping individuals and families grow in Christ through Bible studies, devotionals, books, and video teaching rooted in Scripture.

Before beginning Covenant Roots, Val and his wife founded Covenant Messenger Ministries in 1990. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall, God opened doors for the printing and distribution of Gospel tracts throughout Eastern Europe and other nations. As the ministry expanded, Bible schools were established in Ghana and Nigeria, where thousands of students completed biblical training and many entered Christian ministry.

Today, Covenant Roots continues that same calling with a new emphasis on equipping believers to know God's Word, strengthen their faith, and pass biblical truth to the next generation. Throughout every season of ministry, Val's desire has remained the same: to faithfully proclaim the Gospel and encourage believers to walk in a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
