Jen Kramer has enjoyed the craft of writing ever since she learned how. Christ claimed her heart early on, and her writings have often incorporated Him. Something else that clung with her since childhood was anxiety and depression. After 6 years of marriage, with a nine-month-old baby, she had a panic attack.
This led her to seek a biblical counselor, who suggested she write something she thanked God for each day. Desiring accountability and loving to write, Jen began a blog called "Thankful Heart," and posted a new thankful thing five days a week. Between this practice and biblical counseling, Jen discovered her freedom in the grace of Christ; her anxiety and depression went from a moment-by-moment everyday struggle to an occasional issue.
Her first book, "My Thankful Beginning ~ A Shift in Focus" (originally posted under penname Jenari Skye) is a devotional journal compiling her first 100 thankful things intended to help others experience the freedom and joy Christ bestowed on her through the practice of intentional thankfulness. Her second book, "How Do I Give Thanks in Everything?" is a Bible study she wrote to help christians focus on the joy of Christ through their trials.
Jen is still happily married, and now the mother of a son and daughter. She has many and sundry hobbies, including singing, writing, knitting, creating "waive" art, and toying with graphics. Once upon a time, she also acted and danced, but has found adults (especially parents) have this disease called time constraint.
Her hope and prayer is for her writings to bless you by encouraging your focus to shift toward Christ. "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." - Romans 15:13
