Dr. E Owusu-Ansah

Dr. Emmanuel Owusu-Ansah is an accomplished proud son of Ghana who was born in Kumasi Ghana, West Africa. He is a grand product of Tema Senior High School. He obtained his advanced academic and professional qualifications in Exercise Physiology, Sports Science, Sports Coaching and Sports Management in Brazil, Germany, Italy, Poland and Switzerland. He was the first Head of the National Sports College in Ghana. He later occupied powerful positions such as: Chief Athletic Coach, Chief Sports Development Officer and Acting Executive of the National Sports Council.

He has led National Sports Delegations to over 50 (fifty) countries across Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North America and has lectured sports-related programs in those countries.

He has conducted research and published several scientific papers on sports-related topics for National and international organizations; including the National Sports Council of Ghana and the International Olympics Committee.

He is a member of the International Sociology of Sports Association, and a member of the International Society of Sports Genetics and Somatology. This great son of Ghana was a Continental Research Advisor to the International Academy of Table Tennis Science. He is a grand member of the Commonwealth Advisory Body on Sports responsible for East Africa and West African Commonwealth Nations.

Currently, he has been called again to serve as the Technical Advisor (Sports) to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. He also served as the Director of Sports Directorate of the University of Ghana (UG) and former part-time Lecturer of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Studies, School of Education and Leadership (SEL), UG.
