Dr. Kris Kittle began studying adoption in 2005 when she and her husband began the journey to adopt their youngest daughter from China. When they decided to adopt a teen from China in 2010, Kris began researching older child adoption. In her quest to find information on older child adoption, she discovered very few helpful resources applicable to parenting her newly adopted teen. However, she found significant support from other adoptive families who’ve adopted older children domestically or internationally. These connections have been the most helpful for her on the journey of older child adoption.
