Skyler Chauff

Skyler Angelo Chauff (2002) was born in Los Angelos, California. At the age of two, his family moved to Park Ridge, Illinois, where he attended public school from kindergarten - seventh grade.

Skyler decided to attend Saint John’s Northwestern Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin starting in the eighth grade. Shortly after arriving, he realized that military schools are not schools for "troubled children." Over five years, Skyler rose through the ranks to become the First Captain of the 136th Corps of Cadets.

Skyler's first book, "The Path up the Mountain," aims to confront the negative stigma that surrounds military schools. Skyler was inspired to write the book after a parent asked him, "What'd you do to end up in a military school?"
