Mickey Bayard was born and raised on 175th Street in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. He attended Manhattan College high school and St. Bonaventure University. After traveling around Europe and North Africa for a year he gathered and told stories tending bar at: The Mad Hatter of 2nd Ave, Ichabod's, Pear Trees, Kennedy’s and the Mad Hatter and Cat Ballou in the Hamptons. He owned BAYARD’S on 79th St. with long time pal, Norman Smyth.
He has collaborated on screenplays and some series adaptations along with writing and performing standup.
Over Easy is his first novel followed by Scrambled; both follow the exploits of Maxwell Tecumseh Burns.
