Lucie Contente is a RI author and a member of the Association of RI Authors (ARIA). A few years ago she was diagnosed with Celiac disease and her food life had to change. She had to learn to cook differently but still make the food taste great. In 2017 Lucie published her first cookbook Gluten and Gluten Free Cooking in Perfect Harmony. In July 2018 she published her second cookbook Gluten and Gluten Free Cooking in Perfect Harmony Take 2. There are 70 recipes in both cookbooks that include breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, potpourri and alcoholic beverages. All the recipes are written gluten free, traditionally or how to make both at the same time. It's perfect for people with and without food allergies. These cookbooks were created to help others with food allergies to have an easier journey.

In 2018 Lucie also started writing children's books based on her dog Bella, the main character. There is a positive message in each book for children to learn. The books Bella From the Farm and Bella Goes to the Spa are part of the Bella series.
