Ed Klekowski

Ed Klekowski spent thirty years as a Professor of Biology before discovering a second passion-- history, especially the history of the First World War. He and his wife Libby have spent lengthy periods living in a farmhouse near Verdun, exploring the nearby villages and forests for the artifacts of war. Their discoveries were the basis of two World War 1 hour-long documentaries on American Public Television. He enjoys research, both field and library research, and writing. Ed is the editor of World War One Illustrated, a magazine published by the World War One Historical Association. His hobby is trail-running, especially on the forest paths of the Verdun battlefield.
