Gary J Mack

Gary is a speculative author writing across many sub-genres; horror, fantasy, historical, science fiction as well as crime. Gary launched his writing career with short stories published in speculative journals, particularly Kyanite Press; which then led to the publication of Impossible Fruit (2021) that brought together a set of thematic short tales, effectively leading to the creation of the Magpie Universe. The Secret Magpie (2022) is the first of the Legacy of the Magpie novels (set in present day) of which there are four planned. The Ghostly Menagerie (2023) is the first in the Magpie Universe novels that orbit the Legacy series as an expansion of side characters and timelines. The second Legacy book The Raven’s Message will be out in 2024 as will Impossible Fruit Too. Gary lives in Staffordshire with his wife and three sons and Aggie the Springer.
