James Vela

James has been a student of poetry since the first time he read the beautiful and haunting words of Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, e e cummings, and Leonard Cohen, to name a few. His desire is to keep the spirit of the poets he grew up with alive in diction, style, format, and content.

He takes great care to bring to life the words on the page. The hope is to allow the reader to feel their own lives in the pages of his work.

His books are formatted in a simple readable manner, much like the books of poetry he read of his favorite poets.
