Jason W. Smith

Jason has a background in animal services, law enforcement, and business administration. He received his associates degree from North Georgia Technical College in Clarkesville, Ga. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Shorter University. He has spent nearly 18 years in the animal services industry, beginning as an Animal Services Director in Habersham County, Ga, where he still resides. He began his career with the Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) in 2014 as a Companion Animal and Equine Field Inspector and after a series of promotions over the years, became the Deputy Director of the Animal Industry Division. Outside of his job responsibilities, Jason continues work as a creative writer and entrepreneur.
