T R Lawrence

T.R. Lawrence grew up worshiping National Geographic magazine and studying encyclopedias and world atlases. An avid surfer as a young boy in Hawaii, he learned to be fearless and to take risks. T.R. has influenced many young people around the globe by sharing his strong work ethic, advising them to never accept failure, and encouraging them to be clever in their endeavors.

T.R. always seems to be at the right place at the right time. His love for the thrill of the hunt for antique treasures has given him a life rich with adventures. For 17 years, T.R. and his wife Linda O'Leary owned Nomads of Santa Fe on Shelby Street, specializing in Moroccan imports.

T.R. lives with his wife, Linda, and their dog. When they are not traveling, they spend half the year in Sayulita, Mexico, at Villa Bali, a property he developed and built after the Nomads store closed. The rest of the year they live in Santa Fe. T.R. is currently working on his next book, about the process of importing 12 homes from Bali, and building Villa Bali in the middle of the jungle.
