Paula grew up just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She pursued a BSN, completing that in 1975 at Dallas Baptist College (now, University). Her MSN focused on behavioral pediatrics, was obtained at Indiana University, Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) in 1979 and she completed her PhD in Adult Education at the Bloomington Campus of Indiana University in 1984.
She has lived and worked in the Twin Cities as a nurse educator, administrator, and consultant since 1985 and has now launched her own business, Co-Create 4 Life, a person-to-person educational consulting company designed to assist professional and family caregivers learn to successfully integrate self-care into their everyday activities. Her latest book, Self-care Strategies for Family Caregivers, is available for purchase through the publisher, Xlibris or at Amazon. Paula is available for workshops and presentations on a range of well-being topics from self-care to holistic approaches to well-being, rebuilding resilience and battling burnout.
She is studying to be an Integrative Health and Wellness Coach through the Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing at the University of Minnesota and should complete that effort in 2020. At that time, her business, Co-Create 4 Life will also encompass her coaching practice.
