Jen Matteis

Jen Matteis lives in Mountain View, California. Born in Connecticut in 1981, she graduated from Vassar College. After college, she backpacked 750 miles of the Appalachian Trail from Maine to New York.

Jen went on to work for the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Green Mountain Club. After several years as a backcountry caretaker on Vermont's Long Trail, she became a writer and editor for her hometown newspaper group, Shore Publishing.

Since then, Jen has written thousands of articles for newspapers, magazines, and websites – and stories for the odd anthology. She writes sci-fi, fantasy, horror, mysteries, and more.
