Russie Lane

Raised in a fishing family on the Maine coast, Russie Lane well understood what it meant to be part of a tight-knit community. His mentorship started at an early age listening to his father and uncles tell stories down at the dock. Hanging on their every word he was transported around the world, taken back in time, and introduced to his ancestors of long ago. The stories whetted his appetite to explore beyond the borders of his home town.

After high school he left Maine in search of an education and a career. Ironically, those same stories would later call him home where he and his wife, Heidi, would raise their two children and allow him to help care for his ailing father.

Enamored with the art of storytelling, Russie enjoys writing and filmmaking. His film, Looking for a Hero, was voted Audience Favorite in the 2016 International Maritime Film Festival.
