Warren Scott-Morrow

I, Warren Scott-Morrow, started writing at the age of twelve. I wrote lots of superhero comics as well as two novels while still at school. Soon after that I wrote another novel. In hindsight none of them were very good, but they were at least a useful apprenticeship in writing.

In my twenties I attempted (and aborted) three other novels. Also I wrote short stories and a science fiction outline for a proposed television script - which led to nothing.

Around that time I developed a parallel creative career in music. Since then I have recorded and released fourteen studio albums (including eleven solo). My recording identity is Martoc. Most of my albums are released on my own Esoteric Music label. Three group albums are on the Exoteric Music label. Some of the individual songs have been included on commercial compilations - have a look at www.martoc.co.uk for more details.

I have written and published my two comedy novels "A Flock of Black Sheep" and "Striped Leopards", and have reworked the best of my previous ideas into them. My third book "Cryptic Exits" is a collection of science fiction and fantasy short stories. Most recently my latest book contains two plays, "Warped Mirrors", a stage play about unrequited love, philosophy and madness, and a radio play, "Swimming in the Styx" (a black comedy).

I now live in Suffolk. Prior to that I lived in Cambs, Oxon, Guernsey, Toowoomba and also the West Midlands.
