William Vance Bowker

A life-long resident of Dickson County Tennessee, I reside in the town of Dickson with my wife of 39 years. We have two wonderful daughters. A 1971 graduate of the Charlotte High School, I am Southern Baptist deacon with an absolute faith in, devotion to and love of my Lord, Master and Savior the LORD JESUS CHRIST. An avid reader I love spending time with my family and exploring the great outdoors. I am a retired law enforcement officer with a career spanning over 40 years with four different agencies, Dickson Police Department, Dickson County Sheriff's Office and Burns Police Department and the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office. Twenty eight and half of the 40+ years were spent with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office. During my service I have held positions of Patrolman, Deputy, Training Officer, Sergeant, Captain and Chief Deputy.

I enjoy putting my thoughts and ideas in written form. It is a way to refresh my memories, express my opinion, inform and hopefully entertain others.
