Robert Cleary has been the Head Teacher of Sandringham Primary School, in Newham, East London for ten years. Sandringham is a large multicultural school with a school population with over 1000 children. The majority of children are from second and third generation families whose heritage is South East Asian; Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi. The school is a happy school.
Over the past few years Robert has developed school improvement strategies based on sound educational research and theoretical understanding. He has created a professional learning community that has a shared vision about how children best learn.
His work on the Learning Power Approach with Guy Claxton has supported his role as a teacher and a leader.
