Scott Morissey

Scott traces his love for baseball to the 1992/93 World Series champs the Toronto Blue Jays and his father’s passion for the 1950’s New York Yankees and in particular, Mickey Mantle. The New York-Brooklyn rivalry of that decade was played out in the Morissey household where Scott’s grandfather was a loyal fan of the Brooklyn Dodgers until the team moved to Los Angeles in 1958.

Besides baseball, Scott devotedly follows the NHL’s Toronto Maple Leafs and Chicago Blackhawks and professional tennis, especially Roger Federer.

Scott is a keen golfer, tennis player, cyclist and iron pumper. Nature photography is also an activity he enjoys throughout the seasons.

He can be reached online (scottsportsworld.blogspot.com) where he frequently blogs about baseball, tennis and basketball history especially the greats and not so greats in the histories of these sports.

Scott resides in Hamilton, Ontario but his heart is still in Stoney Creek where he spent the early years of his life. Incidentally, Stoney Creek is the only Canadian community whose little league team reached the finals of the Little League World Series.
