Brian James Siddons
"This Journey We Call Running - One Runner's Anthology"
Born and raised in Southern California, began enjoying the sport and competition of long distance running as a high school freshman in 1972.
Since that time his running has been a way to keep fit, enjoy the outdoors and maintain balance in his life.
After moving to Minnesota with his wife, Jeanette, in 1986, Brian worked as a sales representative for athletic footwear and apparel companies. His enjoyment of running grew and he began to run a few marathons, mostly with friends, as a way to keep the spirit of running alive and part of his daily routine.
Since 2011, Brian began writing more and saving his poems, essays and stories of running. Finally, in 2017, he put together a plan to publish an anthology of his work. After testing the waters by posting and sharing some of his work, the support and praise he received kept him on pace to complete his book.
Mr. Siddons is continually humbled by the kind words others share about his writing, and he will continue to write as long as the words spring forth.
"The Voyaguers - Discovery at Havenswood Valley"
Mr. Siddons first published work is a paranormal mystery based on a scene that kept popping up in his dreams. It was the finale, and once the decision was made to write that scene out, the book was written with a finish, but no beginning.
For five years Siddons worked on the book and editing, with fantastic support by friends and family, and published the book in 2014.
It is slow going, but there is a sequel in the works. It will be a while before that sees publication.
Mr. Siddons is married to Jeanette, and they have three children. Jacqueline, Spencer and Harrison.
