Jon Tobey

I was born in New England and grew up on the NH Seacoast, after graduating from Cornell I moved to Seattle and have been homesick for over 30 years. I have published short stories, mostly based on fly fishing but spanning the genres of true life, romance, humor, sci-fi, and horror. Publishers include Fly Fish Journal, Orvis, Hatch Magazine, Northwest Fly Fishing, Gink & Gasoline, and Anglers' Journal. In 2018 I won the Outdoor Writers Association of America's "Most Humorous Magazine Article" award for a story in Fly Fish Journal. In 2020 I was a finalist for the Traver award.

I'm collecting my stories and novellas into several collections, but my first piece on Amazon was a written to market story for a Lovecraft-inspired anthology: More Lore from the Mythos. Which of course takes you fly fishing with Cthulhu. For the second More Lore, I wrote a Lovecraft/Holmes/Ripper mash up. I've written for several other anthologies: Christmas Kills, Hellhounds, and Hellcats; and and now have two of my own novellas up. I hope you enjoy the ride.
