C. J. Hansen

C J Hansen is the author of the 'Alpha-Omega Wars', a teenage/young adult fantasy series with a supernatural edge, set initially in the sinister, foggy streets of Victorian London. The emerging plot-line has been compared to the stories of J.K. Rowling and Philip Pullman, although the Alpha-Omega Wars stories remain unique and occupy an original world all of their own. The series launches with 'Omega Awakens', then grows in magnitude with ‘War Begins’. The books form part of a series, but each also stands on its own, and War Begins contains a comprehensive preface of what has happened so far.

As a child, C J Hansen, real name Chris Walsh, grew up on the stories of JRR Tolkien. The Alpha-Omega Wars started life as a tale for his own children, to create an imaginary world for them to inhabit together. Written late at night around a hectic work schedule in the UK and Japan, it began to take on a life of its own, as the author started to explore the deepest secrets of our own world. The first book was published, initially under the title 'Awakening', to highly-positive reviews. A second edition of that book, retitled 'Omega Awakens', was released in late 2019 to even greater acclaim. The next book in the series, ‘War Begins’, was then published in late 2020 and has widely been considered the best, most compelling story so far, as the true scale of the epic tale that is going to be revealed, comes into view…
