J. A. Johnson

J. A. Johnson is the author of, MEDUSA’S CHILDREN, ARMADA, and SPINES OF THE DEEP, books 1,2, and 3, respectively in the ongoing BEASTS OF OCEANUS series published Raven Tale Publishing.

His latest series, is the western adventure series is, THE RECKONER published by Dusty Saddle Publishing.

Other major works include: the NEREUS PROJECT, a deep sea thriller series (with K.G. McAbee). And LEGENDS OF THE COAST, a fantasy novel in the classic tradition, lushly illustrated with 29 full color illustrations by J. A. himself!

He is the author of TREASURE OF THE JAGUAR KING, an Indiana Jones-style action adventure.

His short story, WHERE THE NEREIDS PLAY, is part of the horror anthology, "MERCILESS MERMAIDS: TAILS FROM THE DEEP, published by Wordfire Press.

He has written and illustrated comics, coloring books, a how to draw book, as well as children's picture books including, SQUEAKY, SQUEALY, AND OINK.

He is also the creator and performer of Cheesecake the Cat, as seen on, DRAWING WITH CHEESECAKE THE CAT.

J.A. currently lives in South Carolina with his wife and son. He is currently busy on multiple other projects in prose and picture.
