Hi,

I am Cam and I write books for kids.

I have recently published the third installment of my best selling series and I am looking forward for you all to read it.

Here is a bit more about me:

I live on a small farm in a small country town in Victoria, Australia, with my mum, dad, and sister. I love playing soccer in our autumn and winter seasons when the ground is soft.

This season, I have changed to be a winger because I can run very fast and can cross the ball to the middle or into the goal. I have kicked the most goals this season in our school team competition.

I also keep myself busy on the farm with my bicycle, my soccer ball, and my dog, Roxy.

I also play the violin and piano but I don't like practicing very much! I play in the school orchestra and that is fun.

Here is a bit about how I got into writing books. During the long and tedious drives home from school, my grandmother had enough of the meaningless silence, and thus we invented a game. I was a simple challenge; you were given three objects and the aim was to create a hilarious short story about them. It was through this process that I found a passion for storytelling and now I am so grateful to be able to share that passion with a wider audience.

That is how it all started. We made a book outline and the chapter headings and then I got started with writing about 250 words every day. Sometimes I even wrote more than 500.

Then we selected an illustrator and she made us the pictures for each chapter.

The hardest part of writing is to make sure there are no spelling mistakes in the book. That was a big challenge for me and I had to ask grandma to help with that. Thankfully there is also Grammarly which helped a lot too. The last hurdle was to get the book onto Amazon, but finally, we got there.

I have now finished my sixth book. It is called 'Chaos on the Pitch'. In this book Matt has been given the task by his crazy grandmother, Granny Smith Apple, to coach the Murrawong Ladies' soccer club to victory, on a surprise visit from the country. This book is easily my best yet!
