Gill Kimber

I was brought up on the island of Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic ocean, the loneliest inhabited island in the world. See my book 'Between the Mountain and the Sea', published by Amazon and Kindle as a paperback and an ebook. I finished my schooling in Hampshire, then went to university in London where I met my husband. In the 70s and 80s we worked in N Nigeria: we went out with one child, and ten years later returned with four.

On our return to England I was dismayed to discover that God was calling me into the Anglican ministry - but he won in the end although I wrote an honest book about it, Deacon by Design (also available on Amazon).

I retired to Devon with my husband and am busy writing all the things I've wanted to write over the years if I hadn't been so occupied with other things.
