I just passed my 80th birthday. 10 years ago, I started writing poetry. It was the creative challenge of seeing if what I create has any worth and to raise funds for causes that I feel connected to. We have a fund in our son, Stephen's memory at our temple and Alzheimer's Research because of family and friends that are dealing with it. All book sales go to these causes. I also have a blog at apoetatheart.com. The challenge of creating a verse to honor family or friends is a task I delight at working to accomplish. Compliments also touch my writing ego.
