Math was my least favorite subject in school. So I made it better by hiding Harlequin romance novels inside my math book (back when we carried hardcover books around), slid down in my seat to be inconspicuous and read about princes and pirates and wild adventures instead of learning algebra. I imagined writing a book like those one day, an exciting romance without a single math problem in sight.

Years later, I'd see my name on the cover of a Harlequin romance just like I'd always dreamed with The Firefighter's Appeal.

I'm now a USA TODAY bestselling author writing science fiction romance to satisfy my Star Wars loving heart, paranormal romance, because who can resist a hunky wolf or bear shifter? Not me. And some contemporary small town romances after my micro-town roots.

I spent twenty-one years as an EMT, raised three children, and have rescued way too many animals that now live in my house-- but there's always room for one more!

Happy reading!
