Dawn Hilton-Williams-The Vegucator™ is an award-winning author, columnist, wellness equity activist, chef, and whole-food, plant-based nutrition professional whose evidence-based, culturally grounded work helps communities bridge the divides between nutrition, equity and optimal health.

A respected voice in wellness justice advocacy, Dawn writes The Vegucator™ column for Pride Magazine Charlotte, the city’s oldest Black-owned magazine publication, where she pairs culturally rooted, insights and original plant-based recipes to advance optimal health, heritage and justice.

As part of her commitment to wellness, Dawn’s authored two physician-endorsed books: Flava My Plate: Your Tasty Vegan Guide to Health-Wealth, a culturally grounded cookbook and optimal wellness guide blending recipes with evidence-based lifestyle education, and Flava My Plate: Kids Edition, the only known vegan color, cook and care guide for children featuring kid-friendly recipes, Swahili animal values and a focus on nutrition and intergenerational health.
