Chon Kye Yong is a South Korean cartoon artist.
Chon debuted in 1996 when she won the Grand Prize of the WINK New Cartoonist Award. Since then she’s gained mass popularity with Unplugged Boy and Audition.
Back when most cartoonists only worked with pen and paper, Chon applied digital methods such as Photoshop and 3D modelling to her work. These days she uses cinema 4D and voice recognition programs to serialize her work.
Chon has been a record-breaking trail-blazer from the beginning of her career. Not only is she a cartoon artist, she participated in making the music video of H.O.T., the first-generation K-pop boy band. She also created TV commercials in cooperation with famous brands, actively contributing to countless industries. She’s continually published original and provocative works such as DVD, Pretty Man, and Girl in High Heels.
Currently she is serializing Love Alarm online, which has been made into a Netflix original series. The same-titled game is now available as a mobile game.
