The story of SONG OF THE CROCODILE was inspired from a year living with an amazing community of Mandinka in The Gambia in the 1990s.

It was a novel I felt compelled to write to help colleagues understand the issues the story raises, and in doing so, I hope professionals, families and communities will be better equipped to protect the girls they love.
