Alison Seely

Dr. Alison Seely is an active triathlete and veterinarian with a specialty in animal chiropractic. When she crashed her bike into a mama black bear while training for an Ironman triathlon, Alison found herself with time on her hands. With one arm in a sling, she wrote her first book “One Bone at a Time: Tales of an Adventurous Animal Chiropractor ” on a mini iPad. The novel’s success surprised her with booming sales, five star reviews, and enforced her new passion for writing.

Alison’s second novel “The Hex Chromosome” is inspired by tales she would weave about a teenage witch to entertain her children on long car drives.

Alison has just finished writing her third novel, “Beyond Borders”, a romantic suspense book for adults. It tracks the adventures of a young veterinarian as she embarks on a ski adventure across Finland, finding adventure, romance, and danger against a backdrop of a world changed by closing borders in a time of COVID.

Dr. Seely continues to work as an animal chiropractor and compete in triathlons. Alison lives by a small lake, deep in the woods, with her husband, Kevin, some resident loons and beavers, and on welcome occasions, their three adult children, nieces, nephews and friends.
