Sarah Woods

Dr. Sarah Woods is an Assistant Professor and Director of Behavioral Health at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where she teaches in the Department of Family and Community Medicine.

She has spent the past 15 years studying close family relationships, and learning the art and science of couples and family therapy. Her research explores how family relationships get under our skin to impact our health, and relational interventions for use in primary care. She places a special emphasis in the craft of teaching and supervising developing therapists. Her research has been published in top research journals, and presented nationally and internationally. She is also a co-host of the Attached podcast, aimed at sharing the science of relationships and dispelling bad relationship advice.

Sarah lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband, Jesse. They have a daughter, Charlotte, and two dogs, Mollie and Mortimer.
