I am a retired Telecommunications Specialist and Administrator. When I retired in 2005, I had planned to write and publish a memoir. The process of writing a memoir was painful and traditional publishing was daunting. So several years ago, after our grandson was born, my husband, Larry, and I took a trip to South Africa. I had done two "Flat Stanley" projects for our nephews in South Carolina, and they reminded me that I could do something similar for our grandson who was too young to take on our trip. I had a small stuffed bear and named him Logie Bear. That trip's book, Logie Bear's Big Adventure South Africa, was the first in my Logie Bear & Friends Adventures book series. He has a website: logiebearadventures.com, a Facebook page, and an Instagram account. I also just completed a travelogue memoir of Italy. It is not the one I first envisioned, but is an enjoyable story of friendship and discovery nonetheless. I still plan to complete a memoir about my experiences as an unwed mother. I hope to finish that story next year. All in all, I am having a ball!
